Om Shanti Everyone!
Everyone is a jewel of contentment. Yes, I can see everyone as having contentment. Today, Baba is talking about the seat of contentment. Be a detached observer, sit on the seat of contentment, and watch the scenes of Drama. There are so many scenes in the Drama, all scenes are different, and there will be more and more. I think we have to be very clear about what I want to see and what I don't want to see. If there is a scene of violence or scene of any conflict, I remember it, then I have created a habit by continuing to look at such scenes. So, why should I see it then? Of course, you have to see what is really necessary, but if you have a choice, then avoid it, because looking at it will cause some thoughts in you. So, avoid it if you can. I know that most of you work, you go out, there are different situations that come. Maintaining a stage is one thing, but also making right choices where you should be or not be, what you should see or shouldn't see. The same applies to some conversations. Maybe I don't want to hear some of them. Some take a lot of interest and they just listen and then it bothers them. So circumstances are there, but I am the master. So that could make it easier. Baba is saying that your stage should always be full of treasures of contentment. Also, there are treasures of knowledge, treasures of experiences, love, and peace. All these are treasures of virtues. So become an embodiment of that. Like whatever the situation is, let the situation change, but do not allow your stage to change from contentment to discontent, or from a detached observer to one who gets affected. Let your stage be always full of treasures and always content. Baba says that situations will always come and go away. What power does the situation have that they can take away your contentment? Baba says to observe the games of the situations, but do so as a detached observer, while seated on the seat of contentment. We will practice for 24 hours. The seat is contentment and the stage is the observer, and we will see what experiences will come.
I am sitting here somewhere and there is fire, so what should I do? Many times it does happen that you are seeing something, but you know that you cannot do anything. I remember when 9/11 happened, I was returning from Malaysia. I was at the airport and some people came to bring me home and we sat in the car. Initially, people didn't know that it was a terrorist attack. They thought it was just a plane crash, but then when the second tower was hit, then we came to know. Everything was closed and so we could not go anywhere. All the time the television was on with non-stop news coverage, and I didn’t want to keep watching it. I immediately remembered Baba said that when you look at such a situation, just give Sakaash. Then immediately I thought Br.Ramprakash must be there and immediately I thought he is Baba's child, he will be okay. Just give the rays of protection to everyone. So, I didn't want to watch TV, so I went to another room and just started giving light and might, and the Father's love. So even if you are seeing, you have to be detached, what else can you do? You are so far from there and even if you were there, what would I have done? Many situations happen when you cannot do anything, you can’t take action, you can't say anything, then just be in deep silence. Sitting on the seat of contentment, remember it is Drama, it had to happen, but what I can do now is give Sakaash. So, when you are detached, seated on the seat of contentment, then you can serve. Internally, if you are fluctuating, a lot of thoughts are coming and going. We should be sensible enough to see in every situation, then decide if you can help or interfere. So the seat of contentment and the stage of detached observer, I think that's something very interesting and I'm sure when we practice it more for a day, then we will have many different experiences and many realizations. Also, I will know what my stage of contentment is. What is my stage of being a detached observer? So we will experiment for 24 hours.
Om Shanti
