Feeling of Uplifting Others #3

Feeling_of_Uplifting_Others_3                Mohini_Didi                July 3, 2024

Om Shanti Everyone; both Avyakt and Vyakt Parivar!

We have family sitting here, and family all over on Zoom. Actually Mahavir is a great brave one. Whether in lokik life or spiritual life, there is courage and trust, but also patience. You keep courage and you take a step, but then you have to trust that everything will be okay, even if you don't see the result immediately. Some even say, “Oh, I told Baba but He didn't answer.” I said, “Baba takes time to answer, or even for you to understand what He is saying takes time, but have trust and have patience.” So I have to think, connect with Baba, and get the right direction. So you can give a point of knowledge, but what will really suit that soul? In practical, there is a solution. All that is needed is some kind of insight, and then get clearance from Baba,  because it's Baba who makes it happen. So to give cooperation to others, courage is required because you think maybe this is all I will have to do. Mama told us that in the beginning when the Yagya began, Baba told the experienced ones to teach cooking and how to make toli to everyone. So Mama said that many won't learn because they say, “Well now if I know, they will ask me to make it. So it's better if I don't know.” So when I came to Baba, I'm the youngest child in the family, so I never had to cook. Mama was coming to the center, and all the sisters, Dadis now, they said that Mama is coming and you must make something. So I said, “But I don't know anything." She said, “We will teach you, come.” So they taught me a Besan thing, they called it ‘Mohanthal’, some gujaratis call it, what you call Magas. So I made a little, and from there I really learned everything. There was a time up to 150, 200 with help I could make it. This requires courage. The value of your own life is when you learn but you are also all round, wherever, whenever, whatever is the need, you just cooperate and say, “Oh, I can help.” So it is courage, but also cooperation. Baba is counting it more as uplifting, ’Upkari’. So sometimes you think what is Upkar in that? There is, because it’s Baba’s Yagya right, anything we do in Baba’s Yagya or family is also a charitable action.

You know, last month we we're talking about karma yoga. So it's always good to be cooperative because sometimes our cooperation can definitely be uplifting for the soul. There are some people like Brahma Baba, he would start doing something and everyone would come and join. So, I also find that when you do something, there should be many who are inspired and will come and help you, but if that is not happening, there could be a reason. What could be the reason? So have the feelings, the way you do it, and let others be inspired. Then they become like, “Oh, I can learn this also.” It's very important, and that's where we see the success of the person that has so many people helping. So, have courage, have trust, and also have patience, because sometimes our expectations of the other person are more than that person can do. You have to keep cooperating, you have to keep helping, so that other person's interest continues. So it's a kind of big subject, to be cooperative, and that's what Baba is saying, that it isn't being brave or courageous to make contented souls content, or to give love to lovable souls, or to cooperate with those who are cooperative. The whole topic is that with those who are not even cooperating, you are called brave when you use your power of cooperation to make non-cooperative souls cooperative with you. This means some kind of inspiration is needed, so that people can do it, because people like to cooperate but it is not consistent. We want cooperation to be consistent, but do not put aside weak ones because you consider them to be weak, give them strength, make them strong. At every step that is important. What is important? To give them strength, make them strong, enable weak souls to take a high jump, then you would be called the brave one who uplifts others. I was mentioning yesterday that a young kumar came, he was in university, he is still, and what helped them to be happy was when he started vacuuming after class. The others were doing it, and he joined and felt so happy after that. So I was telling his mother that sometimes we have to give some karma yoga to the little ones. Doing this also opens up inside if there are some emotions or something. You do something, and especially for the Yagya, and that is why we have a retreat coming up for young ones. So that they learn little things to do. The last group learned to make bread from Ram Prakash, and when they went home they started trying it and they felt very happy about it. So cooperation to give and also to receive is very uplifting.

Om Shanti

ame points. There were no new points. She said to see what insight you had, that is, what has touched your intellect, what makes sense to you? So one is churning, and the second stage of churning is insight. Insight is something that is connected with subtle effort or subtle intellect. When you get it, you feel very joyful because it is like something has been revealed to you. So, I think that also brings not only joy, but sustenance to the soul. We need to listen to Baba’s Murli everyday, but while listening to Baba, He always says to be in soul consciousness, concentration, focus. It's not that I just read Murli, I just heard Murli, but while listening Mamma used to say, sunte sunte swaroop ban jao (while listening, try to inculcate also). There are two words; one is called imbibing, that is, the intellect has to absorb. The other is inculcating, practice, and bringing it into our practical life. Both are important. If I am not able to imbibe, then I can not inculcate. So that is why some consider Murli like a newspaper, I have to read it. What did Baba say? Something new Baba said?  Then they start losing interest in sakar Murli. The same thing Baba said, you have to become Lakshmi-Narayan.

There was a time when I first came to the USA, I was in New Jersey, so most of the people said that when you listen to Brahma Kumaris, they will tell you about soul, Supreme Soul and to remember them. So I gave a talk and there was someone else. They said, “But this is different, it’s not the same knowledge.” I said that we took the knowledge and we are reflecting, churning, and it is becoming butter, better and better. Our own insight and sharing with others, where they find some newness and interest grows. Don’t listen to Murli because you want to know only new points. Abcd is all the same, but then vocabulary is created from them, more and more words we make, but we cannot change abc. Fundamental understanding of the knowledge will remain the same. Baba will always say the soul is a point of light. So that’s one thing that your intellect is pure and divine. That’s why we need purity and to keep the aim, what Baba taught me, never be influenced, don’t allow your intellect to be attracted or influenced, because then your capacity of insight gets lost. So that’s why we should be in our self-respect. Be yourself. You can’t be anyone else.

So it’s very nice, this point; sustenance for the self and sustenance for others. We all have to find very simple ways, like suddenly remember that we get so many blessings. Everyday we get so many blessing cards. We listen to the blessing from Murli. Remind yourself when you can’t have good yoga or anything that I have this blessing. I always remember the song; blessing upon blessing. That’s what Baba is sustaining us with, blessings. Dadi Janki used to tell me, “You are born with blessings and you are being sustained by blessings.” Any time you get lost, I find that Baba’s drishti is guiding. So you emerge that drishti and feel guided. So there are many yuktis, and one is definitely reminding yourself of your blessings on you. If you don’t remind yourself, then what happens? If you are given something, you have to use it, and using it is reminding.

Then power will come, direction will come, clarity will come, whatever is needed by the soul will happen. Baba is saying that you can sustain any soul with your benevolent attitude and feelings, no matter how much a soul defames you. You can make that soul into one who uplifts others with the sustenance you give them. No matter how impure a soul may be, you can purify that soul with your attitude of being a purifier. A mother never looks at the weaknesses or defects of her children. She always has the feeling of putting them right. Similarly, stabilize in your form of sustenance. What is the image of sustenance? Vishnu! So bring that form. Sustenance for others and you will be able to continue to make accurate progress. So Vishnu has two prominent images. One is standing with four arms, and four ornaments, double crown. The other is in a pond of milk. So our Brahma baba, with his age, in the evening, would come out in a little open space where now we take off our shoes and then go to Baba’s room. He would put his leg on leg and it was like churning. Baba would say that I would do world service. So most of us are born through those thoughts. Baba sent light-might and love to everyone. So whenever the time came when I had to rest or lie down because of my knee, I always remind myself that I am Vishnu now in the milk-pond. I am not a Vishnu who could stand all the time. You are a sustainer. I used to enjoy this and say it to everyone. Everyone was more concerned and I would say, “No, I am Vishnu. I am in the pond of milk. So that’s fine.” So have this feeling of being a sustainer, so that you can sustain others.

Om Shanti
