Om Shanti Everyone!
As much as we are introverted, we are also cheerful. Some souls think being introverted means you don't smile, and you are not light. There is a sister I saw, she is always kind of serious. I asked,”What happened?” She said,”I would like to be introverted.” So, I said that it is good to be introverted but also to be light and smiling. We have to be approachable, we have to be very light internally. Being introverted leads to a blissful stage, inner calmness, and so many beautiful experiences. Baba has given us so many treasures and we are the master of those treasures. Being the master we should enjoy them, use them, right? We think of Baba as the ocean of love and us as the masters of love. There are so many feelings of attainment and love. It is pure, no sorrow, and not even a little bit of attachment. Attachment brings sorrow. Introversion is a very beautiful state of mind. Baba is telling us about how many different benefits of introversion there are. One of the benefits is that even if there are all the time different scenes of drama, we are unaffected. Also while listening to others, while dealing with all that, we should be able to be safe, and also able to give sakaash or power wherever it is needed. Today we will enjoy solitude, and continue to experience these benefits. Baba says that just as any new invention is created underground, in the same way the more you remain underground that is introverted, the more you will be able to create new inventions. I remember when new paintings were being made for the kalpa tree and cycle. There was a very big artist from Bombay who came, and they used to paint in the History Hall, and Baba would go very often to check to see if they needed anything, once the pictures were created they became the main pictures for the institution. Baba minutely looked at how the branches and leaves were drawn. We used to see Baba being very introverted. I find when you are introverted you are very deeply aligned with what has to be done, that inner alignment which happens also helps you to be accurate. When we are not introverted we could make some mistakes, because of the opinions of others, even the atmosphere can affect us. So, that is why Baba says that by remaining underground you will be protected from the atmosphere, secondly by being in solitude you are churning power will increase. Solitude also is like being underground. Thirdly, being in solitude becomes a means of safety against the obstacles of Maya. We will say that it is through the eyes, ears, and speech that maya is able to distract us. When we see what we shouldn’t see, or if attention goes towards the body of others, it is an obstacle of Maya. So, that is why there is a common slogan, hear no evil, see no evil, talk no evil. Maybe it might not be evil, but wasteful. There are some souls who will keep saying negative things, but I shouldn't be influenced. I know introversion is the method to see things through the third eye, you are going beyond these physical eyes. You are listening because it’s being spoken, but while listening, you are very detached. So, I think Baba said that there are three benefits, but most important is that while doing service, keep doing new things. When we go to Madhuban, Dadi Prakashmani would ask,”what is new?” We have to do something new, we have to do something different. Some newness has to emerge. Baba will be very happy with that.
Om Shanti
