Love for solitude #24

Om Shanti Everyone !

It's so nice to see brother Nirwair speaking to us. He always took special care of double foreigners, our heartfelt love and tribute go out to him. We never use the word we miss anyone, but we do experience them as Angels in our life. Their presence is felt more strongly in the physical way. Whenever I stay in Shantivan, I always think of him because he used to take care of us. He made us feel that he was there, and made sure we had everything we needed. He really cared for Yagya, so on this ShivJayanthi you think of him as an Angel, and it is nice to hear from him. All of us have to be angels and today especially, looking at him I was reminded of how he used to be a regular assistant for everything. Our homework is to be beyond sound, but before we go beyond sound what is more important, that our mind and intellect should  be unlimited. When you are a householder, you always keep thinking about this or that, but there are so many others who could take care of such things. Then why is my intellect getting involved with that. Baba is giving an example that when you are retired you do not play with the dolls. Children play with the dolls and dolls means what? little things right? Sometimes a lot of energy is wasted and the stage also goes up and down. Vanaprasthi means to be consistent, stable, not upset or disturbed. Baba is saying one of the habits should be, to be in solitude. Solitude means to be the embodiment of experience, when you have experience you go beyond. At the present time you are close to the stage of being Vanaprasthi or retirement in English. Those in the stage of retirement do not play with dolls. Those in the stage of retirement should love solitude, Ekanthavasi, and they should be constantly in remembrance of One. We looked at Brahma Baba, who paid a lot of attention to being combined with ShivBaba. So all of you are in your unlimited stage of retirement. One who constantly remains lost in one, that is you constantly stay in solitude and be the embodiment of remembrance. Our Dadi Prakashmani towards the end used to be in silence. Yesterday sister Asha called me from Ahmedabad, she said brother Brijmohan is doing well and the last tube has been removed. She said that he is very much in Avyakt stage. Of course, there is gratitude to Baba so he is more deeply in silence. So I was telling her not to worry, if he doesn't speak much, because that is one of the lessons we all need to learn. I remember Dadi Gulzaar when physically she was settling some karma, she was in deep silence for a while. When she gave talks, it was very good talk, and this indicated that she was not only retired or Vanprasth, but in remembrance of Baba. It is very important to underline not only Vanaprasthi, but remembrance of One. If that remembrance is not increasing, not consistent that means your intellect is not focused. Today Nirvair bhai said, “If you have wasteful thoughts, your plane is landing, but then to go up again might not be possible.” So we use the wings to fly, not to land again. You have to go up and up, I like to underline our efforts that go beyond retirement, and pay attention to remembrance. If my remembrance is not increasing, that means I am still playing with the dolls. I think all of us for this Shivjayanthi, have this determination and take this pledge that I will remember baba more and more, so that my old sanskars don't emerge, and we all remain in remembrance of One. Really, if we do Ekanth and remember Baba we will feel a lot different, and we will be happy about it. So, let's all be Vanaprasthi.

Om Shanthi
