Truth and Good Manners #31

Om Shanti!

I think I personally benefited a whole lot this month. We had daily Avyakt Bap dada’s murlis and evening Avyakt signals about truth and good manners. In our lives we have adopted truth and may be inculcated about 80%. Baba explains about our manners, whether it is speaking, drishti, or our awareness, everything based on truth. Looking at someone physically or just the talents and the skill is not true identity. True identity is to look at everyone as a soul, peaceful, and loveful. I like what Dadi Janki said, “A peaceful mind and a still intellect,” because the mind gets disturbed and intellect goes wandering, it is pulled in too many directions. So if the mind is peaceful and intellect is still, she said that life will be very successful. Truth brings balance to the intellect like the scale of justice. The court of justice also uses the symbol of scale. So the same with the mind and intellect. It's like a scale. If there is truth but there is no good manners the scale will not be balanced. So if I say, I am honest, I am truthful but subtly I am challenging someone, there is some ego there. Okay, if I am honest then also I am sure you are also honest, right? I cannot subtly even keep in my mind that you are not honest. Even though I know you are not honest, I want to inspire you to be honest. Like Baba says so many beautiful things about us, but we are not that yet. We know we have to become. So how to create inspiration, hope or courage in everyone, so that we become the family of truth. The Golden age, the new age of truth is connected with satogun. I have to be satopradhan, very clean and very honest. You have to be honest and clean in our lives, in our thoughts, words, and actions. Honesty with the time and the body is also necessary. I belong to Baba, so how many hours I spend for Baba’s seva, or how many hours I am listening to the news, sitting and talking. Same is with the money every cent I spend, be accountable. Baba used to tell us every grain of Yagya is equal to one diamond. With every grain you use it in a worthwhile way. I remember Dadi Prakashmani and Baba used to teach us how to spend every rupee. Today there is not that much attention on wealth, but when there is value, then the way we spend will determine if we are able to create our fortune. You know the majority of Baba’s children just have enough, but they make sure they put something in Baba’s box. So truth, honesty in using time and thoughts and also money is very important. We have to use it in a worthwhile way. During Baba's time, we had one pair of shoes. So Baba will say one is enough. Keep one in case it breaks, but not 8 or 10, right? We become possessive because subtly greed and insecurity is there and we keep accumulating. So think about whatever we haven't done in our life, now adopt total truth, so that you can set a good example. Whatever is wasteful is very visible. So we have to be careful because there are many who will follow us. So if we do it right then others can also do it in the right way. This is what I feel is the truth and good manners.  Om Shanti
